Rooibos Gingerbread Orange
This blend resembles an autumnal forest floor, and the gingerbread aroma evokes the seasonal character of a German market, or – if brewed exactly to specifications – an evil stepmother’s puzzlingly edible house in the woods. Indeed, this surprise bestseller really deserves its own legend. Some say that after the Gingerbread Man made a dash for it and ended up in the wily fox's mouth, they bumped into Hansel & Gretel. Sensing his next meal, the fox pounced but brave Hansel bashed him with his thermos flask, and in that mingling of aromas a new star was born.
All of which happened a long time ago, of course. These days if you visit an English forest, the only sense of creeping dread is that you have forgotten to pay and display in the visitor’s car park. So let us drink to an age of mystery and a new legendary flavour.
